Edit: thought i should add a TW for abuse.
So I (43M) recently met 21F and we hit it off instantly. When we met a few weeks ago she informed me she is in a rough patch in life and had recently split with her bf of 4 years. I offered supportive words and gave her some guidance when she asked, and then she suddenly blocked my contact on her phone and SC. I was shooting pool at my local pub last night when she walked in. Immediately noticeable was the black eye and lightly swollen lip. She walked over to me and said hi and smiled, but I could tell it was painful and "forced". I asked her what happened and she said her bf and her got back together earlier this week, and last night they had an argument and he turned violent. This woman is 5'7" and 110lbs, very slim. She pulled her pant leg up to show me over 30 bruises where he kicked or punch her, and that was only 1 leg. My blood is boiling. How could any "man" do this to such a sweet and beautiful woman? I asked her how she got to the pub and she said she walked because he was being controlling and wouldn't give her the keys to her car. I asked her if he knew where she was going and she said no. I asked if he knew she came to this pub at all and he did. I told her if he showed up I would see to it that he was escorted out quickly, and she begged me not to. I feel like she has Stockholm syndrome and I just want to help her.
Can the AGR reddit community pass off some guidance to me to help her? I feel terrible that she is being abused and feels she must remain loyal to her abuser. I know where they live and have half a mind to go there and give him the same beating that he gave her 2 nights ago. I know her sisters and mother, distantly. I want to reach out to them but also don't want to overstep. I'm very concerned for her well-being and honestly her life. I just don't know how to handle this it's all so alien to me.
