Where to start... had a long term age gap (ish) relationship when I was 26 and she was UK legal.. lasted about 2 years before it fizzled out... since then been married, widowed and purposely not in the game for a few years...

Fast forward to a random business trip to the north of the UK last week, 1 night layover before a meeting and heading south again.

Had a long ass drive also once I finally arrived at my hotel took a wander around, treated myself hair cut and shave then popped in to a spa for a massage.

Was feeling damn good about myself so popped to a local bar for dinner and couple of quiet pints.

It was hot and sunny, so sat outside and the place was heaving.

On the table opposite me were a couple of girls.. I noticed one was exceptionally attractive but was happy in my own little bubble. D

After a while we stayed chatting across the table and once it was time to refill my beer and return they asked me to join them. We drank and smoked a while before moving on together to another bar where I discovered she was 18 (very recently) and confirmed via the bouncer doing an ID check to get in.

Fast forward again to 2.30am, multiple drinks , a cheeky kiss and exchange of numbers before sending them safely off in an uber home...

She messaged once they got back that they were home safely and we've had a fairly constant message exchange since which seems to be leading to a 400 mile round trip with a promise... am I tempted? Hell yes!

But I'm also concerned about the potential aggrevation

I'd consider myself fairly attractive, although now more in a rustic kind of way, I have a successful career that pays exceptional well and I'm told I'm fun to be around...

Generally I have regular offers from women my own age (even though I've not been looking) however I seem somewhat validated by the attention of an 18yo (who, so far, hasn't asked about money even though I was fairly generous to both her and her friend on our chance night out)

So the question us.. do these relationships ever really work out.. should I just jump on and ride the pony (figurative speaking), have some fun and just stop worrying...?
