1. We understand relationships

We've been around the block a few times, and we've learned what makes relationships work (and what doesn't). That life experience tends to make us more accepting, supportive, and nurturing.

2. We make better conversationalists

We’ve grown to understand the world doesn't revolve around us, so we tend to be more interested in others. When you tell us about your day, we'll listen. I mean really listen - we're not just waiting for our turn to talk.

3. Our experience can provide insight

If you're facing a major decision, we've probably been through it, or at least something very similar. We've almost certainly known others who faced the same situation, and we know how it turned out. We can give you guidance when you need it most.

4. We tend to be more settled.

We're unlikely to go off on a bender 'with the boys' or leave you uninformed about our plans. That equals more emotional stability. The fact that we're more settled often means more financial stability too - but if that's all you're interested in, we'll probably know it, and that may not end well for you.

5. We understand your body, and we know what to do with it

A guy at 20 is focused on getting laid, having his needs met. A guy at 50 or more knows that great sex is a two way street, and he knows how to drive it like a pro. You're not going to have to give us basic anatomy lessons.

6. We know who we are and what we want out of life

We're past all the angst of young adulthood, and we've chosen the path we're on. That gives us a level of certainty and confidence that's rare in younger men.

7. We're not going to play games with you

We're beyond trying to game people. You'll know exactly where you stand, and exactly what we expect. We are well aware of how short life is, and we aren't afraid of showing you our emotions. We're willing to be completely honest, and we expect you to be in return.

8. We respect you.

We respect your friends. We respect your choices. In fact, we respect just about everybody, because we've developed an appreciation for people over the years.

9. We tend to be more accepting of your imperfections

We've been around enough to know that perfection doesn't exist, and that everyone has a few flaws. At the same time, we can also see your potential, and we're willing and able to help you become your best self.
