Today, I [M59] ordered a coffee in the city. The Cafe was completely empty and an Asian girl (early 20s) took my order and I went to sit outside.
After a while, she brought me my coffee and I thanked her. A few minutes later she brought me a bottle of chilled water that I hadn't asked for. Nothing unusual in this. It may all be part of the service. But then she said "I'm sorry, I tried to draw a rose on your coffee but I stuffed it up".
I looked at the froth on my latte and could see she had attempted a rose. I said "It looks like a rose that has yet to bloom" and thanked her.
A short while later, her shift has finished and, as she left she said good buy to her colleagues. Our eyes met and we said good bye to each other.
I look good for my age. I have that alt, silver fox vibe about me.
My question is really for the ladies. Do you think she was just being friendly, or was she really trying to get me to notice her. A precursor to flirting perhaps 🤔
I'm tempted to test the waters, but don't wish to make her feel uncomfortable, if she was just being friendly.
I'm open to suggestions on how, or if I should proceed.
