Thoughts on long term VS for fun

Post Body

Hi all! Upon reading the abysmal takes on the OTHER AG subs, I thought of a question...

Are "just for fun" and "Long term" mutually exclusive? Go easy Leanord, I JUST got back in the pool after raising kids for a while, may be sorely out of touch buuut. What I have in mind is a long term FUN thing. When people say long term they usually mean committed, live in, monogamous and usually with paperwork...when they say for fun they usually mean hook up and IMPLY a financial aspect...well that short circuits my ACTUAL reasons for engaging in this which is ACTUAL connection and fulfillment. It doesn't hit the same when someone likes, approves of, accepts and is attracted to you when its tied to a dollar on a string, so I never consider it. Plus I think I have enough to offer there should be plenty of incentive without replacing the connection I am looking for with simple capital exchange... I am also currently EXTREMELY disillusioned with the homestead, bank accounts, play house grind routine and would need to get to know someone REAL well to open that back up again and even then only after I get THIS out of my system if I can at all... So is a LONG TERM FUN ( deeper connection, more intimate shared experiences and closer physical communication) out of the question if I am not( yet) EXPLICITLY looking to steal away with the ONE ( again) or am I ham stringing myself just out of demographics and stats?
