Those of you in am Age Gap relationship with someone of a different race: Do other people view you and/or your relationship with them differently that if they were the same race as you?
I was in a relationship for nearly 17 years, married almost 15 years, with an Asian American, born/raised in the US, woman 19 turning 20 when we first met. We have a 20 year age gap. Numerous times people assumed she was a Mail Order Bride, to the extent she was going to get a shirt saying 100% American Born. Once someone asked me where she's from and she answered saying "I'm from Philadelphia where the fuck are you from!?!?" Lol People just obviously viewed us and me differently.
Now I'm dating a white woman 21 years younger than me...and the only thing I have noticed is guys checking her out heavily, she is a petite blonde/blue very attractive with a great ass, and smiling at me for being her boyfriend. Nothing remotely close thinking she's a Mail Order Bride and it is such a relief and wonderful feeling not having to cope with people's preconceived notions.
Has anyone else felt they are looked at differently having am Age Gap relationship with someone of a different race??
