Hello everyone, first time posting here so exited to share a snippet of my experience .To keep it brief I had a long relationship with a women much older than I. At the time we met I was 19 turning 20 and she was 45. She was the friend of a family member so when we met I never would have expected her to be attracted to me, not that I’m unattractive (imo) I was just not used to an older women hitting on me lol.
For Years we dated in secret because obviously we were far apart in age & the fact she was a family friend would have made things very weird but between her & I we had something really special & intimate. Whenever we had the opportunity we’d go out to eat, dance, and some weekends just getaway and have a fun time on a mini vacay, (my family never really questioned when I would leave for a few days cause I never really was a problem child so they trusted me when I said I’m going to the beach with friends or w.e). After years it ultimately boiled down to where she felt like she had enough “fun” and wanted to settle down with someone more stable. At the behest of my own emotions I logically understood where she was coming from & honestly knew I could not provide her with the stability she wanted so we cut if off, she moved on & supposedly got married and although I honestly dont 100% believe it I did encourage her to find someone that makes her happy so I wished her the best. I’ve since casually dated women my current age (late 20’s) and their nice but cant compare to a mature women.
To end, I so support age gap dating as long as it is of legal age because I learned a lot from that women. I’d encourage anyone who is currently doing this to speak about the future of the relationship to avoid heartache. Thanks for reading.
