so im (18F) im currently talking to (M39). we have been talking to some weeks almost a month. we're still fresh and figuring things out so we haven't put a label on what we are yet especially bc we haven't hanged out yet (we plan to Sunday). a couple of weeks ago, he invited me to come travel with him early october to meet his family in Detroit. when i said i would, he immediately started to get everything ready. last night, i brought up going shopping (and not even real shopping but jus walmart clothes shopping) he said he will in time and not for a first day which i understand im not very big on spending money on a first date.

then today, i brought up that if have a good first date and want to do a second, we should go swimming because Tx heat is no joke. He said sure and asked in door or outdoor pool. i said idk whichever he wants, he said both and i said i always wanted to do a rooftop pool, which he said "in time it'll happen"

i then asked what does "in time" mean for him. i also followed up with a voice message saying that he wants me to go out of state with him, meet his family, friends, college people and kids yet still holds back on pricey dates?

There's a lot of stuff to consider, especially his past and why he's so hesitant to spend money. but i also feel if you're comfortable asking someone to meet your family then you're comfortable doing pricey dates. Thoughts?
