So I was inspired by a post here a few days ago to start giving compliments to older guys. Especially because we all know that men never get compliments!
Iāve done it three times so far:
I was using the gym in my dads apartment block and there was a guy probably in his 40s there who looked like heād been working hard. So I told him that, in a positive way, and he cracked the biggest smile and we chatted for a minute or two. Turned out heās been on a big weight loss journey so kudos to you my man.
I liked a guys shirt at the supermarket so I told him that and asked him where he got it. Again huge smile but he didnāt really take the conversation anywhere. Thatās fine, still felt good.
I asked a guy who was maybe 60 about his classic car. I know nothing about cars so I sort of smiled and nodded my way through it but he clearly loved the opportunity to chat. (Hint for next time my man, offer a girl a ride!)
So anyway. Thereās lots of posts here about how to meet older men and how to get them to take a step over the line, and I think if youāre prepared to start the conversation you might find it goes really well!
