Cannot seem to get pure cultures

I am not having much luck with culturing new Mycelium. I just keep getting Grey powdery mold. I have been buying spore syringes and I steal a drop before I inject it into bags and inoculate. I do not have laminar flow hood, but I do bathe in Isopropyl and glove up. Is the laminar flow the bit that I have to invest in??
