Firstly, we are dealing with bigots on reddit. That means this is not a safe space. There will be offensive language and offensive subject matter discussed. We'll remove it when we see it, but frankly, we're quoting these users, so, don't expect to view this sub and have this sort of content not be part of the experience, unfortunately. I highly recommend taking breaks, periodically. /r/aww is good.

However, that doesn't mean any of our users to should resort to the tactics we see, and indeed, condemn. If you are slapfighting with bigots who come here to complain, you are not helping. If you are going into the posts we feature to slapfight with bigots there, you are not helping. If you are not capable of abiding by those rules clearly defined on our sidebar, this is not the sub for you. To that end, please err on the side of caution. If you see threats of violence, either self harm or to others, report it to the admins. If you see someone trolling here, don't slapfight, just report and move on. When responding to bigots in this sub, ask yourself if your responses are of a higher standard than theirs.

We made a mistake earlier today and featured a post that should not have been featured. It has since been removed, the admins notified of the potential problem. I'd like to personally apologize for not acting sooner, and not listening sooner to the user underlining this issue. We should act better, and hold ourselves to a higher standard - we are mocking and refuting, after all, incredibly shitty views and actions, and the point of all this is to make reddit a better place.
