Two riders approached Storm's End from the west, coming along the kingsroad until they came close to the castle. One was in mail, his shield bearing the arms of House Fell, while the other was unarmored, his cloak held in place by a bronze clasp in the same shape as the arms of House Buckler.

Lord Stannis Buckler nodded to his companion, who pulled a horn off his sword belt and blew into it, announcing their presence to the guards of Storm's End, before the two continued their ride up to the gate, whereupon the knight called up to the guards manning the gate. "Tell the Lady Regent that the Lord of Bronzegate has come to meet with her!"

Stannis, meanwhile, sat perfectly still in his saddle, his eyes focused on the gate to Storm's End. He was here with a very particular goal in mind, and would allow nothing to distract him.
