Anyone else’s AGs get wonky feathers? It’s been like this for weeks and Cookie won’t let us really try to check it out. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by it, so I’ve been calling him Alfalfa.
What do you do when your AG suddenly starts biting/clawing when it’s time to go back in his cage? My husband isn’t keen on losing a finger, but we still hate that Cookie has had to stay in his cage the last few days. He’s scared of perches to pick him up, so that’s a no go.
i work at a bird store (not a pet store) and this is what i have to say about my coworkers greys: 1. they mess up their feathers all the time. greys are very clumsy, which is why you should let their wings grow out. 2. greys can bite very hard but dont have the ability to take any fingers off. if youre in a hurry to get him in the cage, use a towel to grab him. however, you should only do that if its a must. you gotta be patient with greys. theyre very temperamental. if they dont wanna do something, theyll know. ill try to ask my coworker tomorrow for his advice.
of course! always feel free to dm me with any questions!
