I have a poster that I've designed in Affinity Designer 2. The document is 100 cm x 70 cm at 300 DPI.

I am attempting to export the document as a PDF using the PDF (for print) preset and the export hangs on Export Item. However, I am able to export the poster as a TIFF (11.9 Mb file). I think the document is within the scope that it should be able to be exported as a PDF, but I am wondering if perhaps there is a settings issue preventing the document from being rendered?

I don't really understand why the document is failing to export, as the poster is literally a modified version of a poster that is 121 cm x 91 cm at 300 DPI that was initially created in Affinity Designer 1. The latter project does not hang upon export from Affinity Designer 2.

Are there any settings that can be modified to help with the export?
