I ask this because I feel it's not for me and that's a shame.

Publishing

I'm a small publisher. I need the ability to have document wide layers so that people who get a PDF version of my books can turn off layers they don't want. Also ebook export would be very helpful. Also cross-column spanning paragraph styles.

It seems like Affinity Publisher was made for people who make short graphically intensive pamphlets. But those people have lots of tools they can use.

Digital Artists Adobe has such a huge collection of great filters which allow people to do so many things. Affinity does not have this. It has tools for photographers, I guess.

Modders / Game Texture Artists.

I'm pretty sure that they need to be able to save in .dds format, which Photoshop and GIMP does.
