Hi all - Reposting this to see if I can find ‘the one’ 😂
I’ve been here for a while and have tried this quite a few times but have never really found something that lasts (close a few times!) but I’m undeterred and I’m going to keep trying!
Like most of you I’m sure I could recite a lot of the same things that have brought us all to this sub but will try to articulate what I’m feeling anyway.
I’m lonely to put it bluntly. I’m surrounded by people (wife, kids, family, friends) but I find myself being defined by them and not me. I find myself lost and absorbed by others and by the routine of my daily life and have just lost myself in and amongst all that.
I work in tech in an AI startup but work from home most of the time so have plenty of time to dedicate to someone I click with.
I’m fairly articulate and a big talker, I’m into history, art, politics, fashion, books, music and food. I’m also a massive nerd with a love of sci-fi, fantasy and a healthy dose of 80s and 90s nostalgia (or ancient history as I’m sure some of the younger members of this sub might call it).
If you made it this far through my incoherent rambling then well done and hopefully that’s a good sign for me. If anything in this post resonated with you then DM or chat me and give it a go. What do you have to lose? (Im hoping to meet someone in the UK or EU area just for easier timezones but willing to make others work if we click)
