Let’s be honest for a moment. I might know why you’re here, reading this post. It’s probably the same reason I wrote it. Even if today is a pretty good day, most of us don’t end up perusing affair personals because everything in our life is great. There’s a sadness, a void. I’m not here to deny that, nor do I wish to take advantage of it.

Instead, I’d like to float the possibility that in these low moments, we find some of our most incredible, life-changing opportunities. We’re both crawling around the floor, looking for pieces of a broken heart. What if together, we have what it takes to make one that’s whole?

Who I am: I’m emotionally intelligent, intuitive, and present. When I’m in a good relationship, I’m effusive with affection, praise, support, and encouragement. I’m an attentive listener, a sharer of jokes and stories. I’m a hyper-verbose teddy bear, and exuberant lover, and a warm, safe landing space.

What am I missing? Appreciation and validation. I’m aching to feel wanted and desired – sexually, of course, but in general. I want to light up your life by being in it so I can bask in the radiance of your smile.

It might seem like a lot to ask. To discover the spark of mutual attraction, and to be a match for energy, enthusiasm, and effort? If you’re out there, it will be an unbelievable stroke of luck, or maybe fate.

Who are you? You've got a pretty face, you smell wonderful, and you're soft. You aren't afraid to be vulnerable. No badges are awarded for thick skin and a lack of emotion here. You're confident that you want to do this - I'm haunted by more ghosts than Jenny of Oldstones. If I'm not for you, you'll say so. I'm a grown-up who can handle my feelings, and I value closure. Age? Be in the ballpark. We've got to be able to connect on some level, intellectually. Ethnicity, hair color, tattoos or piercings? Variety is the spice of life.

It's a specific list. This is not my first time, and I've learned not to compromise too much, because if I do, I might miss out on the right person for me. Is it you? Let's find out!
