About a week ago my wife informed me that she considered our marriage an open one for all intents and purposes. Since then she's been on several dates and was evasive on details and is definitely in the early stages of going through a makeover (working out, shopping trips, new hair do).

The pandemic has taken its toll, to the extent that intimacy and mystery has totally gone out of the window, as a result we've been in a dead bedroom situation for a year now. Other than that neither of us have any desire to divorce or change things at home.

I've been too focused on work and finishing up a graduate program to really prepare for this new reality… looking to ease into the habit of meeting new people and slowly try to manifest my new future.

Basic rules of our situation:

1. Don't Ask / Don't Tell.
2. Protection is a must even though I've had a vasectomy.
3. Daytime meetups or evening meetups only. Try to be home from 5pm to 7pm for dinner.
4. I can spring for hotel rooms but I can not host in my home ever.
5. Can't be perceived as openly dating anyone, any time we're hanging out in public it needs to have a plausible "just friends hanging out".
6. I will use throwaway accounts, emails, and numbers for initial vetting and screening. If we meet up and vibe, we can pivot to real names since this is all ethical on my side.

About me: I've been described as a grown up boy scout next door. Classic workaholic, career focused, high achiever. I volunteer in my local community, enjoy cooking and long hikes.

I have a pretty flexible work schedule that allows me to be out of pocket 2-3 hours at a time.
