It’s quite simple really, if you and I are going to do this, we may as well call our affair for what it is – the Avocado Toast of relationships.  Hear me out on this –

It’s delicious. We’re going to savor every morsel.

It’s addictive. Once we try it, we’re going to need it in our daily diet.

It’s fun.  You can’t put the two together without causing smiles.

It’s divisive – just like an affair, people are bitterly divided on the ethics of avocado toast.

It’s frivolous – the economics of it are stupid but that won’t stop us (see: it’s addictive).

It needs attention – if you ignore it too long it’s gets all brown and gross.  So let’s pay attention to it and keep it fresh. 

It’s slightly elitist and liberal – like me. 

I could go on, but let’s boil this down to what you want to know.  I’m 52 years old.  By day, I direct a nationwide team for a large corporation.  I’m reasonably successful and I travel extensively when pandemics aren’t shutting that type of thing down.  I’m a decent husband and a great co-parent, but as you might imagine, there are things missing.  I’m 6’0” and reasonably fit for a man who loves tacos – not “bulky” muscular but more of a runner’s physique.  Facial-wise, I’m a somewhat younger blend of Bob Odenkirk and Kiefer Sutherland.  Make of that what you will.  Some avocados are prettier than others.  My pit doesn’t invoke Brad Pitt, but then again, my fruit isn’t completely smashed and terrible to look at.  Safe pic is temporarily in my profile for ogling and/or ridicule.

I’m attracted to intelligence, wit, and humor.  Maybe you’re left leaning politically.  I’m flexible on most things but find myself being decreasingly less so in this department given where we’re at these days.  People say you’re pretty.  I do love fit, but kinda like avocados, a wee bit o’ squish can be great.  Maybe you find your way to the gym but don’t let it get in the way of enjoying margaritas.  Life is too short to not squeeze lime into things then devour them.  Age is not critical but I do award bonus points if you’re old enough to have owned cassette tapes or maybe you’ve shopped at Miller’s Outpost. 

As for location - I'm in AZ, but since I travel for work, an online / semi-frequent in-person situation would be great. I would like to keep an open mind to meeting some day in the future.

I’m located in AZ so PST, MST, & CST probably work best.  You East Coast girls are hip, I really dig those styles you wear.  But I’ve found that time differences matter.  If you’re flexible in this regard (perhaps you have vampiric sleep patterns), we can give it a try.  I will say this - I’ll be spending a bit of time in Boston for work in the foreseeable future.  

Finally, just an upfront admission about myself – my schedule ranges from “incredibly busy” to “delightfully available” with the fluctuations of work and family priorities.  That said, I can and will put effort into this with my special person.
