Life is complex and we all have a story, a reason, a goal. And as much as we want to deny it, we all have excuses and make some pretty wild leaps in logic to justify our behaviors.

And that’s ok.

Because at the end of the day everyone is just looking for something to make them happy. To add to their life in ways that, if done right, are minimally disruptive to those around us.

I’ve been down this road before having one long-ish success. It ended several years ago. Lately I’ve been dipping my toe back into the affair world. There hasn’t been much luck as tends to be the nature of the search. I understand people come, people go. Sometimes there’s a good fit for a brief time. Sometime after learning more one or the other decided it won’t work. Sometimes situations just change. Or people think they know what they want but decide it isn’t.

And that’s ok.

I don’t have any expectations in my search. Maybe I’m numb. Maybe I’m just too pragmatic, but I’m also eternally hopeful. A dreamer. They I will find my kindred spirit.

I want something fun and simple and mutually beneficial. A curious mind and if things go well, an enthusiastic lover. Intensity and passion but with playfulness and smarts. Openness, willingness and great communication (no, that doesn’t mean we have to be in constant contact, respect for one another’s lives and priorities is important). While I want a good rapport and some substance, I also want the physical. So that likely means someone who’s in my area (Corvallis / Eugene). Though the right situation could potentially expand the area. And it also means some attraction. I’ve posted some vague-ish pictures on my profile if you’re so inclined.
