Hi All, I had an ad on here before, but haven’t found what I’m looking for, which is a deep emotional and intellectual connection, in addition to the physical chemistry we’re all after in these types of subs. Posting a re-write in hope of finding the right partner.

This post is going to read like I’m a little extra, and I am! But I’m also no drama, if that makes sense. I’m intense, but if that’s not for you or it becomes not for you, no hard feelings. For better or worse, I am 1,000% not the type of person to pursue someone who is not interested or becomes uninterested. And I also subscribe to the classic disclaimer - I don’t want to change my situation or your situation.

My personality: I’m an INFJ, and as such I would rather poke my eyeballs out than talk to an intimate partner about the weather, sports, or any topics that could qualify as “small talk.” I want to talk about our attachment styles, our views on the world, a line of poetry that makes us feel all the feels, current events and our thoughts re: same, etc. Pretty serious and Type A, but I get goofy and lighthearted once I know someone well enough to relax around them.

My physical stats: I have brown hair and bright blue eyes. I am not overweight, but I am very tall and strong, size 12ish. Think Kirsten Johnston when she was in 3rd Rock 😊. If you like petite little ladies, that’s great, but I won’t be a good match for you.

Looking for someone who is:

Tall, HWP-ish. I’ve always had an inexplicable particular weakness for bald bearded dudes, but that’s not a requirement.

Between the ages of 45 and 60. Maybe could go a little younger, but it hasn’t worked out great for me in the past.

In a similar marital situation as me - 99% dead bedroom despite all my efforts (you can see my post history 😫). No judgment, but I’m not interested in engaging with those who are merely bored with things at home.

A white collar professional (again no judgment, just looking for folks that I have things in common with).

A good conversationalist - someone who shows reciprocal interest and effort.

Emotionally available with a secure attachment style or actively working toward those things. Someone who wants to learn and grow as a person on a deeper level generally. Not someone who is just happy watching football and going to the gym and moving through life as an automaton until they die. If you’re happy doing that, I wish you all the best, but we won’t be a good match.

Local to the DC area OR travels here at least twice monthly for work.
