Let’s face it, introductions are hard. You want to seem interesting and funny without appearing to try too hard to do so. You want to come across as cool and funny and interesting without shouting “Look at me, I’m a total dude!”

Also, as a male, your voice is drowned out by the tumult of countless thirsty men all vying for the attention of any female who may peruse this subreddit.

All in all, good times.

So here I am again, searching for that elusive spark. It’s been a lovely holiday, but it has served to highlight exactly what’s missing. My holiday is coming to an end and the parental chauffeuring duties have recommenced. I’m spending my last day before go before back to work binging on Slow Horses and cooking a roast with all the trimmings.

With the new year comes the hope of finding something new and exciting. A partner in crime who feels similarly under-appreciated at home; someone who wants to receive good morning texts and to say goodnight to, having chatted through the day. Someone to rediscover some passion in life.

A bit about me:

I’m 5’ 7” and the proud possessor of a dadbod. I’m a bit of a whizz in the kitchen, both on the cooking and baking front - I’m that guy who everyone in the office says should apply for GBBO.

I love music, both classical and popular. I was raised on a healthy diet of British Invasion, 60’s Motown and R&B with a healthy dollop of Bach, Handel and Monteverdi.

I’m a huge fan of film and have some pretty eclectic tastes. Not quite black and white Eastern European Surrealist Cinema, but I enjoy a pretty broad range of movies. It might sound weird, but I actually really enjoy going to the cinema alone - it’s nice to be able to take the experience in and digest it afterwards, although finding someone to go with would also be nice.

If we hit it off, I’d be looking to switch to something a bit more secure reasonably soon to exchange face pics to see if we like the look of each other.
