Ah, late December. The weird twilight zone where you’re not sure if you should be eating salad or the leftover cookies from a gift basket. Spoiler: I went for the cookies.

While most people are prepping to half-heartedly hit the gym on January 2nd (because let’s be honest, January 1st is for hangovers), I’m over here making my real resolution.

Hi! I’m a 52-year-old married guy who’s decided to spice up life in 2025 by finding a long-term affair partner. That’s right, no "New Year, New Me" nonsense here—just “New Year, Let’s Get Interesting.”

About me:

• Married, two kids, and living in the ever-thrilling Hampton Roads, VA area.
• 5’10”, 175 pounds, and just athletic enough to make you think, “Okay, not bad.”
• Laid-back, intelligent (allegedly), fun, and discreet.
  • Think: the kind of guy who knows how to find the remote and make you laugh about how it was in the couch cushions.

I dabbled in this world earlier in 2024 and met two amazing women. One lived too far away, and the other fizzled faster than those well-intentioned kale smoothies people make in January. Lesson learned: location and connection matter.

So now, I’m looking for something a little more substantial. Not “marriage 2.0,” but something longer-lasting—like the batteries in a smoke detector you forget to replace.

What I’m looking for:

• Ideally, you’re nearby or open to meeting halfway.
