How times have changed when it comes to a Sunday morning! Do you remember those ones where there was no pressure to get up, nothing to be responsible for other than legging it downstairs to make a coffee and then hot footing it back up into bed. Now it’s going downstairs and enjoying an hour without anyone asking me to do something, which is a little slice of heaven. All I need now is someone with similar energy and a shared interest of kicking back with a brew to give me a reason to let me lower my guard a bit and the cheeky smile shine through.
I’m in the UK, 41, long time married and a dad (teen and a hound). Very laid back yet know how to have a good laugh. Trying to keep the average dad build in shape by hauling my tall frame round the block for a few runs a week which over the years has become my place for headspace and thoughts whilst flooding it various playlists depending on how I’m feeling. If you’re into a playlist share or telling me why you also think ‘In Rainbows’ is Radiohead’s greatest album then we need to unpack that! I do know that holding down a hectic professional job leaves me wanting this connection even more.
Escaping the responsibilities of work and home life is just what we need don’t you think? Taking us back to how those Sunday mornings used to be when we didn’t have to worry about anyone else. If you’re after that escape then shout this way!
