Obviously we all understand this. For one reason or another our spouse has decided to check out and we are stuck trying to keep it together. I think an overwhelming amount of us stay for very similar reasons; kids, stability, finances, and career. But damn it, I didn’t sign up to be a part time roommate and you probably didn’t either. It’s hard to listen or appreciate a spouse that will not engage you intimately. To be honest, the actual sex isn’t the thing I miss the most. I really really do miss the passionate kissing that lead to it though. Ugh, and after the crazy sex (because of the super hot build up) the conversations that seemed to last and last. The convos I could tell you things without worrying about being judged or thinking you don’t understand a single thing I’m saying. The kind where you share things you wouldn’t dare say out loud to anyone else. Yeah, those conversations….AND THEN I make love to you AGAIN until you can’t move. I remember what that was once like and now my spouse is trying to opt out??? Hence, if you are reading this, we need each other. I wait for you every day. It will be a bit awkward at first but the connection will come. Find me.
