Hoping this post finds its way to the right eyes...

I am finding myself in life at age 43 in pretty good circumstances. Life is stable and happy, but it is evident that the passion in my marriage has faded. Intimacy is deprioritized and of nominal interest at best for my wife, and despite repeated open conversations and efforts to address it, we end up in this agree-to-disagree place about the role all of it should play in life that is just…deflating.

I miss the experience of feeling desire and being desired. I am finding myself losing focus during the day, or lying awake at night, wanting to feel that again. The rush and spark of a new romantic interest, the thrill of the pursuit and build-up, the curiosity and interest of getting to know a new person, and the internal charge of finding a new avenue for filling the void and, hopefully, fulfilling one another’s missing needs.

I am 6’ tall, 200 lbs, fit and active. Good looking, good natured, and good humored. Educated, successful, put together. Seeking someone similarly situated - married, kids, stable life - but yearning for something extra to supplement what isn’t present. My interests and attractions in women vary. I know myself enough to know I need some sort of genuine connection and basis for it all, and that empty or one-dimensional pursuits don’t ultimately do anything for me.

I am a Bay Area resident with daytime hours available thanks to remote work. Good at keeping up communication. Seeking someone living in the area, or who visits periodically for work. I am not looking for an exit or seeking anyone out who is. But somewhere within the space of what this can and can’t be is an opportunity for something that can be really fun — sexy, genuine, captivating, and mutually fulfilling across different levels.
