It’s not dead. There’s life and, at times, even passion. There’s love and joy, but those emotions seem to stop at the doorframe. What started off as a roaring fire of passion has slowly faded into embers that now barely reach out their withered hands with a dim red light. Their finger grasping out at what once was. Work, children, life, and other excuses caused the fire to die out like bell over a candle. There’s no reason these things had to cause this calm smothering of our once proud flame. Discussions, requests, and even fights lead to nothing more than a cold silence past that doorframe.
The bedroom should be more.
There should be laughter, experimentation and spontaneity. That’s what we all lack. That’s why we are here. We lost that spark and let the fire go out.
Let’s combine our embers and see if we can spark another flame, I’m getting cold.
