I've always been attracted to librarians.
What's not to like? The understated, effortless super- competence, the intellectual curiosity, the eyeglasses, the friendly demeanor, the empathetic attitude toward the world and those in it... all of which make them beautiful people.
It occurred to me recently, given that my emotionally barren marriage is to someone who is decidedly not a librarian.... why not just look directly to the source? Maybe there's one of you out there in a stable but subpar marriage that would like to connect with an easygoing, friendly, witty, intelligent and appreciative guy for some laughs, some fun, some kindness... I love reading, TV, movies, music (indie rock/pop mostly), cooking, travel, my kids, my dog....
Say hello if you're interested. Not looking to blow things up... just add some happiness into our lives....
And for the record, I don't think librarians are the only "librarians" out there for the purpose of this post... teachers, social workers, and a variety of health care professionals would qualify as well....
I would love to be able to meet someone in person, likely from the 6 counties of metro Detroit or even Toledo, but am happy to find friendly chat from afar as well.
But since we're on the topic already.... let me know what you have out from the library now or have had out recently...
