This is really specific but I hope you're out there and that this is all somewhat relatable for you.
They didn’t do anything wrong and they’re not bad people. Life happened, things changed, and we’re doing our best to support them without losing ourselves in the process. While we’d never dream of going away (because there’s zero anger or resentment), we still need to keep going. This isn’t an easy thing to talk about without feeling judged, so we're here browsing a certain corner of the Internet in the hopes of finding someone else who gets it.
I'm looking to connect with someone that's also happy at home (all things considered) but could use a break from keeping everything going; someone that’s open to a discreet casual friendship where we could hang out (maybe even make out) now and then. Given where we’re at, it'd be nice to vibe with conversation so that we could potentially vibe in other ways. And if it's not a fit, we can be the mature adults we are and move on with honesty and grace.
You: Ideally in your 40s or above, a working parent that enjoys your kid(s) but still has time for a creative hobby or two, can stay positive when things get tough, and comfortable with who you are. You’re there unconditionally to support your spouse/partner with their challenges and would never speak poorly of them. You know all about full/tricky schedules but are willing to figure out time for a bonus keep-it-simple-and-fun connection now and then.
Me: 48, 5'10", enjoy keeping fit and exercise regularly. At the point where I need reading glasses, but also like how I look in them. Business casual for work, print t-shirts/jeans/hoodies at home. Old soul in that I'm early to bed/early to rise, prefer reading print books (and love to trade recommendations). Trying to spend more time away from screens and doing things like day trips, learning new recipes, and taking music lessons. My speaking voice is pretty awesome.
Thanks for reading! If you're kind enough to send a thoughtful reply, you'll get one in return. :)
