Question around FAA approval process for manufacturing PMA parts.

Post Body

I'm looking at expanding the market of our company into the aerospace industry. Specifically the aspect of select replacement parts (think super small transdigm).

I have been reading up on the parts manufacturer approval (PMA) on the FAA's website (https://www.faa.gov/aircraft/air_cert/design_approvals/pma/pma_des)

But they don't have any timelines or cost to gain approval from the FAA's side....

Would any of you fine fellows know anything about this approval process- timelines and cost- to get a replacement part approved by the FAA?

Any massive roadblocks and why our fairly small company wouldn't be able to expand into this industry is also really appreciated!
