I am some guy at college right now and i have a crush on this guy who went to the same class as me last year and we also attend the same college. We're not in the same major but whenever he sees me he takes the effort to greet me. Recently, he greeted me then separated himself from his friend group to approach me. It seemed to me like he wanted to strike up a conversation but I kinda got too excited and broke the silence first. Then, later that day, I talked to him again, and he kinda kept staring at me as to say something (i''m very unsure of it though). idk but he seemed comfortable with me cuz he kept smiling or smth os i just assumed he has some sort of interest with me. idk if he's into guys btw so...

I kinda want to be friends with him (so he'd know me more and we'd be close) then say that I have some type of romantic interest in him, if he wanted to be friends with me, that'd be ok with me as well. Now the questions are, is he interested in me? or just want to be friends with me? (hence the silly title i thought was genius and poetic haha)how should i pursue the friendship (or idk relationship if it ever comes to that) and most importantly how do i get him to say whatever he wants to say or at least be comfortable with me to the point that he's just causing an awkward scenario where we're just not waiting for someone to speak haha thanks for reading this far btwwww english ain't my first language so i apologize if there's any grammatr/vocab mistakes
