Suppose I wrote the following in a job resume:
"I deserve this job because I want to buy a house and build robots."
Or
"I deserve this job because I want to buy a house and own a microscope, a telescope and a chemistry lab."
I want to convince employers why I deserve to be on their payroll without emphasizing my poor employment history. I want to give employers a reason to consider me despite my other flaws and setbacks. I want them to think, "There's more to her than meets the eye. Maybe she deserves a chance."
What do you think? Great idea or terrible idea and why?
