So...like the title says, I've been in Thailand for 17 years. I came when I was 14 years old and now I'm 31 with a wife, a son, and another on the way. They're not the problem, I swear. My problem is that I've now been unemployed for essentially 8 months and I can't seem to catch a break. I was making decent money up until the start of the year when I got fired from online teaching. After that I made a bit of money with voice overs but that all dried up faster than rain drops in the Sahara. At the moment I'm back to teaching in schools but at a fifth of what I was making in the beginning of the year and honestly it's just not enough with my wife not working in order to take care of herself and the baby. Sorry for the long explanation but basically I think I'm kind of stuck and have no options but to go back to the u.s.a since I am a citizen and God knows I would make more than a thousand dollars monthly.
The bigger problem...Because I make so little money, I can't afford to just up and leave in order to get myself back home so yeah...I'm kinda stuck.
What can I do? Are there companies that hire and fly you back to your home country or to their country? I'd completely be up for having a part of my paycheck taken out to cover whatever is needed over time, I've just never seen or found one of these jobs...
Long story short...I need to find a way back to the u.s and at the same time somehow secure a place to stay for myself while sending money to my wife to take care of our kids until I'm able to bring her to the u.s also. Any ideas?
