About 3 weeks ago my mom and her ex BF had a loud argument that ended with him destroying the living room in a fit of rage I live with her and he took his some of his stuff and left. Over the course of the past 3 weeks he has been sending fucked up messages to my mom which ended in my mom blocking him and putting the rest of his stuff on the front lawn with a final text to him stating for him to grab his stuff ASAP and leave his key near the front. Flash forward to Saturday I’m out of town and while my little sister is at school and my moms at work no one’s home and he comes in the house and leaves flowers on the kitchen counter. My mother then loses her shit unblocks him and threatens to call the police if he ever enters our house again which invokes him to enter the house again and call the cops himself when they come they say that technically what he’s done is legal cause he’s still on the lease he then leaves after another loud argument and refuses to give up his key. At about 10:30 today he comes into the house and crawls in my moms bed while she’s asleep she wakes up screaming at him to leave before she calls the cops he then grabs my mom and throws her against the wall and makes sexually suggestive comments while doing it as soon as she tries to call the cops he grabs her phone before pushing her into the coffee table and sprints out the door she gives chase and he throws her phone into the road that’s when I hear the commotion and go outside to see what’s going on. My sister is already out there holding my mom back while her ex gets in his car and drives away. My mom has a few bruises but nothing serious we call the cops on my phone and they ask us for his info while they take photos of my moms bruises and the damage around the house they tell us to barricade the doors. Idk what to do I’m in the living room watching T.V and letting my mom get some sleep cause she has work in 2 hours and I’ve been making sure there’s no commotion outside. I’m scared for my mother and my family cause he has access to firearms and he threatened to kill her on multiple occasions. I want to do more to ensure our safety what to I do?
