To make a long story short, my friend’s mother is currently working at a non profit org but was only meant to be in the role for a few months. I had told her that I was currently(now terminated) in a position similar to what she was doing. When explaining her current role she asked if I would be interested in interviewing for her position. So I said yes, it wouldn’t hurt me to do so.
The position before i was terminated had been difficult for me being that I had never created programs or coursework which this position required. When taking the position in the first pace I was told that I would receive mentorship and training. After being 3 months in I never received training, my boss never held meetings, established expectations, create a action plan for me,etc. Therefore I was struggling in this position and did not produce what my boss was looking for
While home on quarantine due to testing positive for the virus, I did a first round interview for the new position and they invited me back for a second interview. On the day I was scheduled for the second interview, I received a letter from my employer that I had been terminated due to poor performance.
I proceeded with the second round interview for the new position after I had received the notice of termination. The interview went well and they want to proceed with hiring me. But they want to speak with my supervisor from the position I was terminated from. I have not told the new position I was terminated.
