A girl I'm talking to has told me her friend is interested in me
Post Body

Hey all, I have been talking to a girl I recently met through work (we are in different departments so we don't see each other often there). Well call her A. There was a local event the other night and both of our respective friend groups hung out at it. I met some of her friends, in particular one we will call B. B was very nice and friendly and we did chat for a bit.

I have been texting with A for a couple weeks and we've not exactly been flirting but the conversation is going well, and I was thinking of asking her to coffee sometime soon. I legitimately don't know if she is expecting it because as I said, we haven't really flirted, just talked. I was planning to just put myself out there and be okay with rejection, as it's not the end of the world.

But this morning she hit me with a curveball, texting me to let me know that B had told her she was interested in me and liked our conversation a few nights ago.

I am not sure if this is supposed to be a sign that A is not interested or if she is just being nice for her friend. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Is the best action just simply to tell A I was planning to ask her on a date soon?
