My husband has a normal American male name, Scott. He doesn't like it though and I can respect that. The issue I'm having is that he wants to change his name to his online name, the same one he uses professionally. Which isn't a real name. If he wanted to change his name to something like Michael, or Joe, or David, or any other normal name I would have no problems. But I really really really really don't want to call him by his gamertag or screen name for the rest of my life. I don't want to introduce him to people as his gamertag, especially when it comes to my family and professional life. His screen name really isn't that bad, people would probably just say "Oh, that's a weird name". But I just don't think I can get behind it. Should I resign myself to calling him his gamertag forever or continue to upset him by telling him I really strong dislike the name he wants to choose?
