Should I [f22] give my brother [m19] money?

Tldr: my parents gave me a lump sum of money before college and are not doing the same for my brother. Should I give him some money?

I’d like to preface this by saying I’m very lucky for this money and I definitely don’t think I deserve it. I know many people have to constantly struggle for money in college, and I am extremely appreciative to my parents for this gift.

For context when I went to college (3 hours away by airplane) my parents gave me 10k as just in case money. I am quite frugal and never even dipped in to their 10k although it did come close on occasion. But I consciously budgeted and spent very little on “fun” things.

My brother started college last year and he lived at home due to Covid, so they didn’t really give him anything. Now he is moving out and they plan to just send him money every month. He definitely spends more than me, but I think he is pretty responsible. He is very upset that I got 10k and says that he will need it more than me since I have a job. He has asked me to give him at least 5k. Is this fair? I have asked my parents to give him money, but they just say no. They do not have any issues or fights going on that I know about. He is very much a part of the family, so I don’t think it’s a problem in that regard.
