Your first love has returned to your life. You’re both in different relationships. You’ve caught up to where the other is in your lives. What do you do when you realise that you should’ve been together?
Post Body

You both realise that you’ve been idiots and should have been together. You’re both at different stages. Both are with someone totally devoted to them. But one side is at that stage of planning families and the other is having a personal crisis because you don’t know where you want to be or what you want to do.

The problem is you know that it’s nigh impossible to get back together. And your ex has had their reservations with their current partner but they’re at a defining point in their relationship (marriage/kids/etc.) Ultimately neither of you want to hurt the ones your with for selfish wants.

Do you just rip the plaster/band aid off and say goodbye? Do you try and make it a possibility? Or should you just stop being a selfish c*** and get back to reality?
