My college friend (whom I considered to be one of my closest friend) has been ignoring me since January 2021. We’ve been really close in school, but I’m in another country right now and haven’t met her in-person since last March when covid started. We’ve been talking over text/calls almost daily until November, 2020. She then became more busy with school work and, I guess, wanted to spend more time with her family and started to drift off a little and started to not answer my calls.
We were supposed to meet again back in December but couldn’t because her family was worried about Covid. She then stopped interacting w me completely and I asked her what’s wrong and she replied with a long message about how she became overwhelmed with me calling her everyday and stuff (which, I completely understand because I can be a bit clingy). I apologized and completely stopped calling/texting her after that message and have been giving her a break for months now. I’m going back to the states in the summer but I’m now wondering if our friendship is over? Like is it a bad idea to hit her up again?
