So there's this dude that's been harassing me for the past few weeks and I'm either really cross or really scared. I've seen this guy board the same train and bus as I do on my way to work for a year or so now but I just noticed that he's been taking pictures and video of me for the last few weeks and I don't know what to do. The first time I noticed it was when he got on the bus right after me, held up the line of people behind him to take pictures of me. I started paying closer attention to him after this and he's been doing this every time he sees me enter the bus terminal. He'll pull his phone out and start either recording or snapping pictures of me. He knows that I know that he's been taking pictures of me because I pulled my phone out and began snapping pictures of him, intentionally leaving the flash on so that he knows that he's on camera.
On 4.5.2021 as I boarded the bus and he got on after me, walked passed me and called me a "jackass" for no reason. I didn't see him for a couple of days as I didn't get on the bus--I got my vaccine and was down for a day after that due to side-effects--but today he did the same thing and said something to me; I couldn't catch it. I confronted him about it--maybe not as nice as I could have been.
This has been going on for a while now and I'm freaking out. I don't want to make a big scene, but I want him to get the message across that this kind of behavior is not okay.
EDIT: I didn't realize that I hadn't made this clear in my post but based on some of the answers I need to make it known that I'm a guy, too. I'm black and in my late-twenties and this guy is white and looks to be about twenty years my senior. I don't want to cause a scene as there is a heavy police presence in the area that I take the bus. I carry a knife with me but I'm extremely hesitant to use it, even in self-defense, for obvious reasons.
