Car Insurance/GAP insurance question
Post Body

I was involved in an accident in a nearly brand new car in August, I had full coverage and GAP insurance on the vehicle. The problem is that the insurance companies took about 3 months to pay the claim to the bank. In those 3 months, I had to continue to make my car payments so I wouldn’t have my credit affected. I was under the impression that I would be refunded those payments, since they were made after the insurance claim was filed. I’m now being told I am not going to get that money back. Is that the way it works? Do I have any recourse? I was a Maryland resident at the time if that matters.
