How should I reply to my boss’s email?
Post Body

My boss acts like she’s a robot and every task that we have has a specific amount of time it takes to complete it! We all know that’s a lie; she doesn’t even have the ability to complete tasks in the amount of time she estimates it takes to finish a tasks due to work load and nonstop interruptions.

As much as I would love to respond to an email she sent me, with complete vitriol for her as a human being and a manager, I know I shouldn’t. I asked for just 1 specific task out of many tasks I do, to be reassigned to 1 or 5 people who have 1 and ONLY 1 task to do per day! In her email she asked how much time PER WEEK does it take to complete this task. I believe this is a leading question because the task is not one I can do ALL WEEK! I get a days tallies from 5 people at the end of every day; the very end of every day when they clock out. The following Monday I have about 25 emails total of tallies I have to look at one by one, add them into a spreadsheet by city and state and then email the updated spreadsheet to her and the big boss.

Yeah I get it, it’s easy but due to my work load, and being pulled many different ways per day, and taking phone calls and responding to emails that are treated like life & death requests, and instant messages, and working on projects, and being asked howcome something isn’t finished that isn’t even fucking due yet (from the same assholes who take up my time with life and death emails and instant messages and phone calls), this 1 simple task takes allllll damn day whenever I get to do it which is rarely on Mondays, the due date for the task.

What is a short a simple way to answer this question without falling for basic tactics!? I don’t want to say it only takes 30 minutes or an hour because she can simply tell me to block that amount of time to complete the task on time (knowing I can’t block time because I’m not allowed to postpone those “life and death emails/instant messages, phone calls”)
