We set ground rules when we moved in that we would keep the common areas clean and never really talked about our individual rooms. I’m a very clean person and it’s not that she’s a pig but she’s very cluttered and chooses not to clean her room unless we’re entertaining. We’ve now lived together for over a year and the smell from her room is now seeping out into the common area. It’s not a bad smell it’s just very stagnant and smells like she needs to wash her sheets or do a deep clean, it’s very apparent when you walk into our home. How do I ask her politely without ruffling her feathers to clean her room because it’s now affecting other areas (even though it’s not tactical) ??
