I know this isn't the right sub but I'm desperate, my cat won't eat and the vets are stumped.

Post Body

I asked this in askvet but no responses. I was wondering if someone out there has come across something similar and can advise.

My cat started vomiting and losing her appetite a couple weeks ago. 4 vets, 2 emergency room trips, xrays, ultrasounds, 2 nights of hospilization with ivs and anti nausea meds, and tons of testing just showed she had enflamed bowels and some bloating in her pancreas, no sign of cause.

She seemed to be getting better after the hospilization but would refuse to eat unless it was dry food or treats. We had no choice bc she already lost 20% of her weight. But now she won't even eat that and is starting to vomit again.

She's a 1 and a half year old domestic short breed mix we adopted as a baby. She went to the vet in December and they said she's the healthiest cat they've seen.

I don't know what to do. I literally bought every brandf of food I could find, even made fresh chicken, and she won't eat and is getting lathargic.

We have another cat we had for years who is perfectly healthy and acting fine, so I don't think it's something in the food bc she eats everything.

I'd go to a 5th vet but at this point I feel like they just did what they do and have no problem charging us thousands a day to keep her on hospital support.

Any advice?
