Can a manager tell you to resign?
Post Body

Today i arrived 30 mins late to work with an okay alibi, after apologising to my manager she took me into the back office and handed me a blank piece of paper and said “show up on time or write your resignation on this.” Can they push me like this? Surely if they wanted me gone they would give me a disciplinary hearing or sack me on the spot? Any advice on what to do next would be appreciated.
