Best possible plans for money~
Post Body

I am trying to get my life a little bit better together. Unfortunately I need some outside insight and some advice.

I will probably be getting what I would consider quite a bit of money from a settlement. Before anyone goes on about the time line and the ifs and buts, I know all this. I am trying to think positively and planning for the best but expecting the worst.

So now that that is out of the way I am trying to figure out the smartest way to invest in my future and get what needs to be done, done.

I would say I will have 60k. (It could be more but I am trying to be very realistic)

Here are my options and very rough estimates of what they will cost.

Debt (school, car, credit cards, medical) 38k

Other schooling- 10k (Certifications and such my FAFSA/grants/scholarships won't pay for)

Dental implants - 15k (IF I get it all done, but there is the option of getting single implants)

New car (will trade in the current after paying it off) - 30k (I want to go electric because of where I live and the quality of car. I am thinking the base model tesla as they have the most charging stations and are known to be good quality.)

Down payment on house/buy small house outright- 40k (Yes, there are move in ready small houses for this price or I could get a mortgage)

As you can see there are a lot of options and they all have pros and cons!

Debt of course if paid off will raise my credit score. It will lower my debt to income ratio and could allow me to build my credit. I am not sure if it will help or hurt my credit if I pay off everything or if I leave 30% of the credit on the cards. Which if I calculated correctly would be around 2400.

The other schooling could help me further my career and allow me to take classes that are on subjects I could really use for my future. A lot of them are certifications from schools outside of my state so I don't get as much, if any for these classes so I would have to pay out of pocket. I estimated a bit high but I think better over than under.

Dental implants, well, I think they are self explanatory. Benefits include lost confidence and savings for not needing future dentures and everything that those cost. Also, it's medical, so health as well?

New car, although I already have a car, it's been a nightmare and I have wanted to invest in a new one for over a year. I am still making payments on this one and have about 3 more years until it's completely paid off. If I buy a new car I will be paying off the old one and trading it in for a new one. I would like to get a base model tesla because I live right next to a city and there are lots of charging stations. Overall cost in the future would be less, but the upfront cost would be more from what I understand.

House, if I buy one, I no longer have to pay rent. There will be no debt since I purchased it outright and can probably live there for 5 years while I work on everything else that needs done.

or

I could put a down payment down on a house, probably a small one and have a mortgage instead of rent. This would take over for the rent I have but possibly would be a little more than my current rent payment. BUT I could always get a room mate to offset the cost while I get everything together. (Yes I know the pros and cons to having a room mate)

Any advice would be much appreciated~
