tl;dr: A regular masseur I've had who helps me a lot has not been able to meet up. It seems as if he isn't being pro-active in wanting to suggest alternate times. I've had a lot of injuries in the past couple years that I'm still feeling the effects of those and he has been really personalized, effective, and has amazing hands that have been better than any massage I've had. It's easy to find okay masseurs; it's hard to find above and beyond ones.
Background and details:
When I've reached out the past three times:
- A few weeks ago he responded, "Next week isn't a good week for me." That's it. No reason given, no suggestion of meeting up later. I understand he doesn't need to.
- Last week we set this a few days ago, the date and time. The morning of, a couple hours before the appointment he texted he was having a bug of some sort, probably a stomach issue and could we reschedule to tomorrow if he feels better? I said yes.
- The next day he said, "Let's do another time. I'm really sorry." That's it. No suggestion of specifically when such as a few days later.
What should I do? Should I try a fourth time? I can't read minds so I don't know if he's truly tight on time, tired, truly sick, or just isn't interested in my business any longer and this is his way of shedding me off. I'll take his word for it that he's busy or sick. He seems to be a genuine guy. As an aside, we have messed around a couple times off the clock. Should I find someone else? It's difficult to get someone reliable and very good.
There was no indication he was losing interest in me as a customer before these messages. It's always been very professional, friendly, and good for both sides or so I had thought.
