Kicked out of the family business.
Post Body

My dad (owner) just let my older sister (glorified secretary) rip me of all my access to emails and account records because she thinks I’m stealing his clients. He doesn’t want to do anything about my access to the work and says she’ll get over it. I’m just lost. We work in a blue collared field. I recently started my own business (with my dads blessing) so I can 1099 their business. This was all clear to my father. She threw a fit on how I’m cutting into their clients when I haven’t even began a billing cycle. My father is 62, about to retire, and was planning on handing me over the business. We both agreed it would be a smoother transaction if my business was up and running to get some sort of clerical things in order. Now I’m totally upset and depressed. I don’t want to go back to work for them and I don’t want to leave my projects with loose ends. I don’t have any means to be working on my own yet. My business was all paper based until my father handed it over along with equipment and tools. I’m angry at her for thinking that and I’m angry at my father for not correcting her thoughts or explaining my motives and not sticking up for me. Just telling me that I need to keep working and it’ll all work itself out. This has been in the works for over a year and was no secret. I just don’t know what to do.

TL;DR My sister kicked me out of the business and my father is ok with it. They both make me angry.
