Sold piece of furniture, buyer left a deposit and has now changed their mind and wants money back
Post Body

I'm in the process of moving out of my house. I had a garage sale last weekend and had a nice cabinet for sale. Someone wanted to buy it but could not return until the next day with a truck. They offered to pay 1/2 deposit ($100) and agreed to pay the remaining $100 when they returned on Monday. I did not hear form them until Tuesday and they said that they changed their mind and want the deposit back. I told them that I would list the cabinet on Craigslist and would refund their money once I sold it to someone else but I haven't had much response. The person is texting me daily wanting their money back. I only have another week in my house and if I dont sell the cabinet, it's going to either be given away or taken to the dump

What would you do in this situation?
